Peggy's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Blend until smooth:
1/2 C shortening
1/2 C butter, softened
1 C sugar
1 C brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla

Gradually add to blended mixture:
3 C flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt

Stir in:
2 C milk chocolate chips
1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
{or any other combination of chips, white chocolate, mint, etc.}

Mix well.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.

Peggy used to work with me. She died from ovarian cancer a few years after I started working there. We were really good friends.
